My name is Jeremy Krupnick, and I have been a resident of the Hampton Roads area for 18 years now. I have attended school here my entire life and have deep roots in the community. After graduating from George Mason University the opportunity arose to move to several exciting areas, however I realized that Virginia Beach was home and where I wanted to be most. When I came back I continued my involvement in the local community. Habitat for Humanity as well as Relay for Life are just a few of the many organizations and events that I am involved with. I have always felt it was important to give back to my community whether it is financially or by volunteering my own time. I may have been born in Los Angeles, California, but I have always considered myself to be from Hampton Roads.
Upon returning to the Hampton Roads area I made the decision to enter the exciting field of mortgage lending. After interviewing at several of the top lenders in the area I narrowed my decision to one local lender, Tidewater Mortgage Services. I felt that Tidewater Mortgage Services ability to service loans as a direct lender as well as a broker would enable me to learn all facets of the mortgage industry. Their willingness to teach me from a young age, without high pressure, made them the ideal employer. In my four years I have accomplished a great deal including being a VHDA Trainer, as well as a member of the Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association. The four years have flown by, and I am thankful that I have been able to get into such a fantastic business.
The Hampton Roads area has seen unprecedented growth in the last five years. More and more businesses have moved into the area making this an exciting time to be a Hampton Roads resident. In fact, Forbes Magazine just voted the state of Virginia to be the number one state to start a new business in. With a strong economy and a solid military presence Virginia and the Hampton Roads area will continue to set the standard for the rest of the nation.
