Shani is a graduate of University of Maryland (BS in Mathematics and Old Dominion University (Masters of Business Administration). She came to the mortgage industry after 10 years of teaching mathematics at Tallwood High School and Virginia Beach Central Academy. She attended Brookwood and Lynnhaven Elementary Schools, Plaza Junior High School, and Kellam High School. She, her husband Terry, and their three children reside in the Kellam school district where their oldest child attends Christopher Farms Elementary School.
