When Summer hits it can be extremely tempting to look for the closest place to cool off! Here are some tips if you plan on taking a dip:

On The Beach…

• Make sure to find the closest lifeguard, just to be safe!
• Sometimes the water can be cooler than you think!
• Don’t swim out too far and keep in mind that the current can be stronger than it looks!
• Bring a friend in the water!
• Don’t swim under the influence of any kind.
• Don’t run and dive into the water

At The Pool…

• Secure your pool with barriers to make sure it’s safe for children.
• Have family pool rules posted around the pool and ensure everyone knows what they are.
• Store chemicals properly away properly and out of children reach
• Post “No Diving” signs properly.
• Don’t forget a pool or hot tub cover when needed!
• Check the weather conditions before you swim.
